Steam holds Halloween "scary games" sales blowout - Get your 5 euro Bioshock now!

Never ones to miss any excuse for a crazy games sales bonanza, Steam is holding a Halloween themed sales fest, where a bunch of "scary" themed games are discounted to low low levels.

These happy pumpkins know the goodness that is the Steam Halloween sale!

I've had a looksie at what is available in this gut filled bucket of pumpkin festival related game titles, and here are a few fantastic games that you can pick up for cheap, if they have not already made their way into your gaming collection:

1: Bioshock (5 Euro)
Still a fantastic game that has one of the best narrative experiences that I have had the pleasure of playing through in recent memory.
This first person game combines some very satisfying gameplay mechanics with story to create a compelling experience from beginning to end.
If you haven't taken your underwater trip to the broken city of Rapture, then this is the perfect time to give this game a try.

The diving suit wearing "Big daddies" play a key role in the world of Bioshock

2: Dead Space pack (Dead Space 1+2, 15,3 Euro)
The first Dead Space was hailed as a game that successfully moved the survival horror game forward. And into space.
The sequel was in many ways a more polished version of the original and, while perhaps not as big a step forward for the genre, it's a great survival horror game, with some truly disturbing moments that will make you scared to play the game with the lights off (or maybe I'm just a wuss like that).
This is a great price for both of these two great games.
Come on, you're losing money by not buying them!

The Dead Space games are frigging gruesome!

3: Bioshock 2 (5 Euro)
Well, if you're getting the original, why not pick up the sequel to Bioshock as well?!
Or if you were skeptical about the qualities of the second game, this is a chance for you to give it a chance for less than the price of a Happy Meal.
While not as stunning an experience as the first Bioshock, Bioshock 2 is still a really good game and has a story that is compelling enough to make you want to see it through to the end.

In Bioshock 2 *you* are the Big daddy! (Blew your mind, right?)

4: Left 4 Dead 2 (6,8 Euro)
If multiplayer action is more your thing, don't worry! Steam has got you covered here as well.
The FPS zombie blasting game Left 4 Dead 2 is a great game with up to 3 friends joining you in fighting your way through several different maps that are jam packed with unfriendly undeads just waiting to get their hands on your juicy juicy brains.
The game sets a pretty frantic pace and you're usually fighting off hordes of zombies, with the occasional "super zombie" thrown in to mix things up for good measure.

That zombie is clearly trying to surrender. Show some mercy, you monsters!

5: Stalker bundle (Stalker: Call of Pripyat and Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, 6 Euro)
The Stalker games have become something of a cult classic.
In this first person survive-em up, which can probably best be likened to a more hardcore and more action oriented Fallout-esque game, you take to the wilderness around the area of the disaster struck nuclear power plant Chernobyl.
The world is filled with enemy "Stalkers", treasure hunters seeking the riches of this irradiated wasteland, but you will also encounter creatures that have suffered horrible mutation.
It's a very free form game compared to the much tighter and linear experiences of Bioshock and Dead Space, so if you're more into open world games, then this could be a great buy for you

Someone is about to have a very bad day

The sale ends on Monday, so grab'em while you can, people!
